Aeonium Merlot is a crossbreed between Aeonium 'Zwartkop'-the royal pinwheel, and Aeonium urbicum- the Salad Bowl plant.
The properties of these plants lend to this plant.
Aeonium urbicum keeps all of its leaves all through summertime.
Aeonium 'Zwartkop with its dark burgundy leaves lends to this species.
