Tree – Melaleuca nesophila

Common Name: Showy Honey-Myrtle

The Melaleuca nesophila, commonly known as Showy Honey-Myrtle produces pink flowers from spring through summer, this evergreen is often called the “Pink Melaleuca”. This is certainly a character plant. When allowed to grow freely and undisturbed, it’s just a big bush. But when it is carefully pruned and sculpted to expose and emphasize the beautiful twisty white, zigzag stems – and foliage is kept tight, it makes the most beautiful garden specimen! Stems with flowers make beautiful floral pieces. Full sun to filtered light.
