Opuntia hyb ‘Saucey’

Common Name: ‘Saucey’ Paddle Cactus

One of our favorites with beautiful winter purple tints and markings on paddles, then exploding in soft pink flowers in spring. Summer paddles retain some purple tinting, so beautiful in form and structure year-round. Like all Opuntia, has the little bristly glochids, but no real larger thorns. Low grower, to 2 ½ feet wide. Trouble-free, strong. Hardy to sub-zeros. Fine in desert heat.
