Mexican ( or Tropical) Milkweed

FEED YOUR MONARCHS! An abundantly growing milkweed with orange, or yellow-orange flowers that grows vigorously in most coastal and southern CA climates for your Monarch Butterflies. In fact, in these areas, if there is no freeze, they will winter over into the next year as well. Grows to about 2 ½- 3’ tall, and a couple of feet wide. Flowers all summer and early fall. There has been controversy on the internet as to whether this plant is not good for the Monarchs, but the myth has been de-bunked by UC Davis Professor- (see link About That Tropical Milkweed:

It grows fast and provides a lot of caterpillar meals, and is pretty in the garden as well. Hardy in high heat (deserts) and to light frost/freeze.
